Google has aquired the triforce?

Someone had too much time and somehow found the Triforce symbol in the Google picture.

So what is the Triforce?

The Triforce first appears in The Legend of Zelda and is a triangular relic which is made up of three smaller triangles known as the Triforce of Wisdom, Triforce of Power and Triforce of Courage.

When united, the Triforce allows one who touches it to make a wish that lasts until they die or the wish is fulfilled. However, if the one who finds it does not possess a balance of the three virtues it represents, the pieces split into its three components and the finder is left with the one which represents the characteristic they value most; the other two pieces do likewise with two other characters "chosen by destiny".

So what does it mean that Google might have aquired it? Well we are not dead yet...

BrionVega RR227 retro 1960s radio gets renovated

The radio is based on a model the company made back in 1965 in Italy. This sweet gadget packs more things than you might think. Not only is it a radio but it can play Mp3 or WMA also. This is done by either the SD-slot or USB. Of course there is also a AUX jack to connect your mp3 player or other device. If you want to plug your headphones in this is also possible. It runs by either batteries or hooked up to the main power line. Seems to be a sweet little radio.

Closing in on Ironman

This marvelous contraption is about to be mass produced which means we can all have one of these babies. So what is it? Its a so called HAL(Hybrid Assistive Limb) suit and it is awesome. What it does is to make you super strong. It works by detecting faint bioelectrical signals that are sent from the brain to the limbs. Its not Ironman yet but we are definitely closing in. They are planning an annual production of 400 units and it will cost around $4200. Its going to be interesting to see how it will develops.

A megamouth shark was caught by some Philippine fishermen. This shark is extremely rare and the one they caught now was the 41st ever seen or captured in the world. The first specimen was caught off Oahu, Hawaii in 1976. Megamouths are very large sharks, able to grow to 5.5 metres (18 ft) in length. Males mature by 4 metres (13 ft) and females by 5 metres (16 ft). Weights of up to 1,215 kilograms (2,680 lb) have been reported.

So what happened to the rare specimen of the megamouth shark they caught? Well they ate it.

Intel debuts 2GHz Atom Z550 processor

Finally a Atom CPU with a little more power. I think the netbooks that has been poring out on the market is a little bit to weak. But the new 2GHz model might be enough to satisfy(me at least). So I guess that all the coming netbooks will have this CPU and everyone who bought the old ones will regret that they didn't wait. I love development.

    Scientists Make Blackest Material Ever

Another scientific breakthrough. The blackest material ever created by humans. It is made from a flat array of vertically-aligned, single-walled carbon nanotubes. Sounds complex? Well it is. The substance absorbs between 97 percent and 99 percent of wavelengths that can be directly measured or extrapolated. I guess the blackest thing there is must be a black hole which absorbs 100% or maybe even closer to 110% since it actually pulls light to it. The cool thing with black materials like this is when you coat something in it you loose the ability to see any unevenness.

World’s Most Powerful Laser has the Energy of a Hydrogen Bomb

Scientists at the National Ignition Facility of the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California has build the worlds most expensive laser at a cost of $3.5 billion. Luckily it turns out it is also the worlds most powerful laser. So whats the goal of creating the worlds most powerful laser? Warfare would be an obvious answer but when the entire machine is housed in a ten-story building the size of three football fields the mobility is pretty low. Well one of the goals with the laser is actually to mimic the heat and pressure created in the sun. Yes you read correct, they will try and create an environment that is the same as the core of the sun. If everything goes as it should we can expect loads of clean nuclear energy. Living in the future is so exciting.

A Bugatti Veyron in gold? Why not?

As if buying on of the more exclusive cars isn't enough. But money can get you anything, if you want it in gold you should have it in gold. So where can we find this beast? Well you guessed right, in Dubai of course. It also matches the color of the desert. The owner apparently stores it in a climate-controlled atmospheric chamber inside the garage. Only the best for the best.

But I must admit that the Chrome version of the Bugatti is more eye catching.

    Contact Lense Display System

Engineers at the University of Washington have for the first time used manufacturing techniques at microscopic scales to combine a flexible, biologically safe contact lens with an imprinted electronic circuit and lights. What the lens generate will be superimposed on the world outside. The uses for this is endless and it is so damn cool. This article is over one year old though so who knows where they are today.

How about a telescope straight into the eye?

    Well it is now possible!

This device was developed to reduce the 'blind spot' impairing vision in patients with AMD. This is very good indeed but think of the development of this thing! We can all have telescopes in our eyes and have super vision. Dont look into the sun though or you will get fried in the eye. The telescope thing and the contact lense with a screen on it and I would be pretty happy.

    Humans controlling robots with thought!

Cant say that I am surprised. I would rather say "its about time!". There has been a lot of articles about programs and games controlled by the mind and I think that one obvious direction it should take is to control robots with it. Now its just a matter of time before we can use this in warfare. Looks like they have been working on it for a while. That mind control device he is sitting on doesn't look like something you put together over a month. Must be some cool stuff in that huge box behind him.

I love the fact that he is wearing those plastic shoes that are so popular. If I remember correctly those shoes were the cause for destroying expensive hospital equipment because the shoes get charged with static electricity. Maybe someone should call Honda and inform them of this.

    Impossible math exam

I just read in a Swedish newspaper that there was a math exam at The Royal Institute of Technology, one of the bigger technology universities in Sweden, that was impossible to solve. The teacher who wrote the exam made a mistake in 3 of the 5 problems which made them impossible to solve. 2.5 hours into the exam a teacher came and told the students that the first two problems were unsolvable and when there was 30 minutes left of the exam the teacher came once again and said that the last problem also was unsolvable. But the students weren't given the chance to write the exam again so weeks of studying down the drain. Its so nice to be a student.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine leaked one month before release

Maybe you have heard about this before but I must say that I think it is pretty hilarous. The leaked movie wasn't the finished product though. Apparently there are many unfinished things in the version that got out on the internet and it is said to be pretty ugly. But I love the fact that it somehow managed to find its way out on the internet. Once its out there it will most likely never disappear.

A groundbreaking new loudspeaker, less than 0.25mm thick!

Some brilliant people have developed a new ultra thin loudspeaker that can be put anywhere like wallpaper. The potential use for this is endless, think of the surround system you could build with this. If you have your entire living room covered in this you would get perfect surround sound. It would also revolutionize games since you could hear exactly where sounds come from. If they could combine this with the paper thin screens they are developing...
